Cafe Noni’s is a family restaurant inspired by the warm family culture and street food of Philadelphia in the 1970s and80s. We offer comforting meals like cheesesteaks, burgers, and pasta, all made with fresh ingredients, to give you the feeling of dining with family at home. At Noni’s, you are not a customer—you are family.
Noni’s was born from childhood memories of growing up in Philadelphia surrounded by family and warm moments. In the 1970s and 80s, Philadelphia was a culturally diverse city where street foods like cheesesteaks, burgers, and fries were a part of daily life. Though my family wasn’t wealthy, my mother’s heartfelt cooking always made our table feel abundant. Most Sundays the entire family would join together and just enjoy the day with a good meal.
The menu at Noni’s is inspired by both Italian traditions and Philadelphia Street food. Simple but delicious dishes like cheesesteaks and burgers are prepared using fresh ingredients. Our goal is to recreate the feeling of enjoying a cozy, satisfying meal with family.
The name “Noni” holds deep personal meaning for me. In Italian, “Noni” means “grandparent,” a term that reminds me of the love I experienced growing up with my extended family. Additionally, “Noni” was my wife’s childhood nickname—a reflection of the love and family values that this restaurant embodies. Noni’s is more than just a place to eat. It’s a space where warm memories are made, and where you can enjoy delicious meals with the people you care about. At Noni’s, you are not a customer—you are family.
